Just what is web page cloaking? In simple terms, cloaking is just serving a different web content to different visitors, based on their identity. For our purposes, we are looking for search engine spiders and serving them highly optimized content for good rankings.
Sounds pretty simple, doesn't it? Why doesn't everybody do it?
I'm not going to try to hide anything. Cloaking can be risky... and highly profitable. The risk comes in when a search engine (usually very belatedly) discovers a page is cloaked. The page will be dropped from the index and probably the whole domain as well. Don't worry, there are easy strategies that keep this from really hurting you. Think in terms of "disposable domains". You install KloakIt on some disposable domain and funnel human visitors to your money site. If the domain is tagged by a search engine, your money site is unaffected and you set up shop on another domain, toute d'suite!
What's this I hear about cloaking software being able to hide HTML source code?
